The intuitive programming dial and multi-function LCD display make the TRU6I easy to set up and program. It can be quickly upgraded to remote, WiFi-based operation by inserting a Rain Bird LNK2 WiFi Module (sold separately), enabling control via mobile devices (Apple iOS or Android).

Each of the six zones can be assigned individual A, B, and C programs, with up to four start times per program, totaling 12 distinct start times per zone. This flexibility allows for specialized watering schedules to be created for every area of your yard.

Watering can be customized by days of the week, odd or even calendar days, or on a cyclic schedule every 1 to 30 days. The manual station feature allows you to water a single zone, all zones, or an individual program as needed.

The season adjust function enables you to increase or decrease watering times by 5% to 200% across all programs at once, or on a per-program basis. This feature is particularly useful for adapting to changing weather conditions throughout the year.

Rain delays can be manually set for 1 to 14 days, or the controller can be connected to a rain sensor (sold separately) for automatic delays and restarts. Permanent days off can also be programmed, ensuring that watering never occurs during scheduled landscaping crew visits.

The TRU6I boasts a range of professional programming features, including an interstation delay of 1 second to 9 hours, rain sensor bypass by zone, save/restore programming, control of zones by master valve or pump start relay, and the ability to reset to factory defaults.

Surge protection guards against damage from lightning strikes and power surges, while the sealed case protects the controller from moisture, insects, and grime, making it suitable for indoor mounting.

The controller automatically troubleshoots valves and suspends watering to the affected zone, displaying a warning message to identify the valve number. It is compatible with most 24 VAC irrigation valves and includes a transformer power plug, 6-foot power cord, and a user manual.

When paired with the LNK2 WiFi Module and a rain sensor (sold separately), the Rain Bird TRU6I meets EPA WaterSense criteria, ensuring efficient water usage.
